Battlespells - Warmoon Lord, 2021

Battlespells, Warmoon Lord's second full length, is great! I think it has a little bit of everything that makes black metal good: raw vocals, melody, symphonic elements, and a nice medieval touch.

I think it is kind of funny how people are kind of divided on this release, on AOTY people really hate the vocals! I don't know why. Lord Vrajitor's vocals sound pretty standard to me, nothing out of the ordinary for black metal. I think it is because people on AOTY aren't used to listening to good modern black metal. They have Deafheaven up their loose asses. However, RYM reviewers agree that this is a great release, as do I. 

Although it is a standard black metal album, you can hear the talent that Lord Vrajitor has for creating such an amazing immersive atmosphere.
